triple the awesome momentum insanity that for me is what a pit is about. You get less violent jarring impacts, less falls and like. A lot more fun can be had in a pit if you grab people by the shoulders jump with them for a while and swing around until the centrifugal force blasts you into a new mosher with whome you repeat the process. (On a side note I have a theory that pits are slightly (only slightly) too violent. Also how are the security with this sorta thing? I don't imagine cruise staff are familiar with friendly violence. But please tell me the cuise-goers get a good 20+ people pit for most artists. I totally get that not everyone wants to be rumbled while they are trying to soak in the awesomeness. What is the state of play regarding pits? I don't wanna find out that there is no moshing going down for some of my favourite bands, but I also don't wanna be the guy moshing alone in a sea of 'appreciators' who will end up hating me.ĭon't get me wrong, I respect the watchers and the nodders etc. This is a cool blog, I enjoyed it, I can't wait to see the other commitments.they oughta be good.Hi guys first timer here with a burning question. Sure, there may be some Blues influence, but the Blues are definitely NOT solely responsible for the existence of Metal, No Way. Lastly: I totally agree with you.to think that Metal wouldn't exist if it weren't for the Blues, is absofuckinglutely absurd.I never thought that, and never will. Fourth: I like Black Metal a lot, some bands are better than others.one of my favorites is Dimmu Borgir.if you haven't listened to them yet, give them a try.if you have, what do you think of them? Fifth: I agree, breakdowns are cool, but a whole song they do not make. Third: I like both Limp Bizkit and Death, but I don't think Limp Bizkit is better than Death, not by a long shot. I do agree with you, on Possessed being the first Death Metal Band. Second: I'm a fan of both Metalcore and Death Metal, I really don't think one is better than the other, I like them both about the same. lol Okay, first: I don't THINK Black Sabbath "invented" Heavy Metal, I KNOW they "created" it.if I'm a disgrace to the Metal Community, so be it.but I stand behind what I know. You had me triggered, and laughing, at the same time. When I read the title of this blog, I thought to myself, "Oh boy, this oughta be good!", and I was right. Overall I can't say enough about how over hyped this band is. Even in the beginning of the song where Ozzy has that weird affect on his voice when he says "I am Iron Man" is so annoying. That is the most obnoxious riff and it's one of their biggest hits. The song "Iron Man" is literally one of the dumbest songs I've ever heard. If you honestly believe Black Sabbath "invented Metal" you're a disgrace to the Metal community. I find that to be one of the dumbest statements I've ever heard. Black Sabbath just bores the Hell out of me and they didn't even invent Metal. I love bands like Iron Maiden because their riffs are actually good, the song structures are better, the solo's are way better etc. Fine, they're "influenctial" but in my opinion, Black Sabbath is easily one of the most overratted bands of all time. Ozzy doesn't even write the lyrics, the bass player does and well Ozzy sings the riff. Personally I don't care for bonehead guitar riffs along with Ozzy singing the guitar riff in almost every Black Sabbath song. I kind of already talked about why I think Black Sabbath is over hyped in another blog of mine. Hey, I told you this blog would have some controversial opinions.
